Abandoned Pet Rescue (APR) is one of the largest no-kill animal shelters in South Florida that rescues and shelters abandoned and abused pets with the goal of finding them new homes. APR provides daily, comprehensive care for 200 cats & 30 dogs at its adoption center, which is equipped with free-roaming cat rooms, air-conditioned dog kennels, a play yard and veterinary clinic. APR became a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization in 1996 by a group of volunteers who trap, spay and neuter feral cats and realized a great need to help abandoned pets and advocate for a no-kill community.
