About Us
Dixie Adoptables is a non-profit animal rescue operating in south Mississippi, which operates the Lucedale Animal Shelter. The Lucedale Animal Shelter is a full service no-kill animal shelter for residents of the city of Lucedale. Our goal is to house, feed, and provide medical care to any stray, abandoned, or surrendered animals until a new suitable home can be found for them. Dixie Adoptables takes in animals from the county as room permits since the county has no shelter. Dixie Adoptables utilizes transports to the Northeast to broaden our ability to help more animals in than would be possible through adoption alone.
