About Us
Since 1965, The Hermitage has been “advocating for animal rights and ending needless euthanasia of at-risk felines through protection, adoption, and sanctuary.” As Arizona’s first no-kill, cage-free facility, we are dedicated to the shelter and care of homeless cats, especially those that are often considered unadoptable by other organizations. We are both an adoption facility and a long-term sanctuary. In 2013, through the American Sanctuary Association, our cage-free shelter became an accredited sanctuary.
