About Us
The Joshua Tree No-Kill Shelter run by the Morongo Basin Humane Society is the only no-kill animal shelter in the Morongo Basin that accepts animals from any area. We are a 501(c)(3) organization and receive no government funding. We believe that no adoptable animal should be euthanized and some seemingly unadoptable animals can become someone’s treasured pet with time and training. As a no-kill shelter, we have made a lifetime commitment to our animals. We will take care of them as long as they need us. Taking care of a Shelter full of animals is expensive; food, bedding, vaccinations, spay & neuter, any medical issues that may arise, and much more! Our existence depends on the generosity of the public. We rely solely on donations to survive and to be able to provide care to every animal that comes into our little shelter in this very rural area.
