Southern Pines Animal Shelter

Hattiesburg, MS

About Us
Our organization is committed to keeping pets safe, happy and healthy while they wait to be placed in a forever home. Southern Pines Animal Shelter is an open admission shelter, meaning dogs and cats are accepted without regard to health, age, or perceived adoptability. Southern Pines works with the cities of Hattiesburg as well as Forrest County to house their stray animals, while also accepting unwanted and lost pets from all surrounding counties. In 2019, there were more than 7,435 abandoned, lost, and unwanted pets brought to the shelter. Through our lifesaving programs, we are so proud to maintain over a 95% lifesaving rate. Together we can save more lives than ever before!
