Love this!

This has been a great addition to our home. We use it to prop our basement door open so our cat can use her box downstairs without the dog getting into it. Installing took maybe 3 minutes? Super fast!

Serves purpose

It definitely keeps my 3 Springer Spaniels out of the room and my cats are able to freely get in and out. What I don't like is the door can't fully close so when I have company it will have to be removed for full closure of the door.

Works alright

I got this product to keep the dog out of the laundry room where the cats food and litter boxes are. I give the review less than 5 stars because I felt the directions that came with the device were a bit confusing. Also they were extremely small print which made them hard to read. In the end, I got the door latch device installed (after installing it backwards to start then removing and redoing it) and it does work as advertised. I still have a baby gate on the door because I'm not completely trusting this yet to work. The dog had been going over the baby gate when the door was open and now that we have this device limiting the door position along with the baby gate we seem to have solved the problem of the dog getting in the laundry room. I will be ordering a second one now to use on my daughter's room to keep the dog out of there but yet leave the door cracked for her kitten to go in and out.

Improvement over plastic one

This one looks like it will stand the test of time. Before, we tried the plastic type and it broke within a couple weeks.
